Nancy O'Dell's initial work in the industry of broadcast was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became a morning news anchor at WCBD TV and also as a crime reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance regarding DUI cases led to a State Law Enforcement Division to examine. It led to states authorities enforcing more rigorous guidelines in these cases. Ms. O'Dell received recognition from The Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year award for all media in South Carolina. O'Dell has worked at Charleston working as a journalist and co-anchor for the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station, before transferring to Access Hollywood where she is now a correspondent and co-anchor on weekends.
